Los Trompos Aeropuerto is a delightful gem nestled within Mérida's airport, catering to both travelers and locals alike. With a vibrant atmosphere, this restaurant excels in offering a variety of dishes that highlight traditional Mexican flavors. The menu features an array of crowd-pleasers, including their acclaimed tacos al pastor, which patrons like JC Lam rave about for their authentic taste and generous portions.
Customers appreciate the attentive and friendly staff, reflected in reviews that mention complimentary drinks during wait times. This welcoming environment makes Los Trompos a top choice for dining, even for families—Emilio Steffanoni notes the enjoyable kid's zone that allows parents to relax while their children play.

Los Trompos is a Mexican chain serving up tacos, pastas, pizzas and more. The Merida airport location is a great place to grab a quick meal after arriving in town. If you are traveling with a larger group, would highly recommend ordering several of the taco plates to share and try the various meats!

Great tacos! This is a chain and it's very popular among the locals. Their specialty is tacos al pastor. Staff is very attentive and polite. We even got a free drink while we waited for our to-go order. Must try if you are in Merida. Free parking.

Really nice flavour, prices are ok, a place to eat tacos while your kids play at the kid's zone. Definitely I'll come back

It's definitely one of the best options at Merida Airport. At first, it was a bit disappointing as there were basically no main dishes for vegetarians (apart from a typical pizza Margherita, of course). So, I decided to order a variety of vegetarian entries, which was undoubtedly the best choice. I had the Chicharron con queso, the papas piquin, the champinones al ajillo (please update this also on the English menu!) and a strawberry cheesecake. Everything was great, only wished that the cheesecake was a little bit bigger. Highly recommendable place!

We were looking to eat on New Year eve and came upon Los Trompos. Had the pork chop. Was very tender and delicious.

Food was great, TV with soccer game, service was fast with meals. My only 'complaint' is it took long to get charged.

The pizza was excellent (ordered the spinach and mushrooms). The pizza didn't really have tomato sauce, it was kinda of pesto based so it was absolutely delicious (didn't ask the waiter to confirm so it's just a speculation).
